Oak Tree Circle at Kew

Designed to create a strong visual centre piece to the new Children’s Garden at Kew, this 4 meter high walkway encircles a 200 year old oak tree. The slightly elliptical structure consists of a “forest’ of poles which sit at different angles, creating a playful effect below. Up on the walkway visitors can experience the excitement of being high up in the tree canopy, with views of the gardens as well as close up encounters with the tree’s features, as if they were a bird in its branches.
